Gopher Tortoise Choose Your Story

This choose your own adventure style video was illustrated and edited by myself and the content was created by Taylor Aspinwall, for Oxbow Meadows Environmental Learning Center as an educational tool. This video utilizes the end cards as clickable links to secondary unlisted videos that guide you through your journey in the life of a Gopher Tortoise. This project originally began with the thought that it would be multiple interactive displays at Oxbow Meadow's center. The center is currently closed to the public. Taking this content and turning it into a virtual experience was the logical next step. After Taylor and I finalized the concept for the script we worked together to create a visual idea for the videos. Woodcut type was used on a tree back like background to create the woodland feel. Combining visual elements like illustrations and icons with typography and the voice overs was key to reach students with different learning styles.
